Aquascape Signature Series Pond Skimmer
Aquascape was the company that started it all back in 1992—creating patented pond skimmer designs that revolutionized the pond world.
The Aquascape skimmers work to eliminate floating pond debris from the surface. Before it can sink to the floor of the pond, this will keep your pond’s ecosystem healthy and looking great. Also, the skimmer hides and houses the pond plumbing and pump with helps to create a more natural appearance.

Filtration
- Pre-Filters pond water and helps protect the pump
- Prevents muck and eliminates unwanted debris
- Mechanical Filtration is essential in areas with trees
For ponds near or under trees, the Aquascape Signature Series pond skimmers are a great choice. The skimmer will continuously sweep the pond’s surface to catch any floating debris like leaves. Helping to prevent tea-colored pond water and reducing maintenance. Designed for ponds as large as 1,000 sq. ft. and pumps up to 10,000 GPH.
Heavy-Duty Construction
- High-Density polyethylene and protected from UV
- Holds up against freeze-thaw weather conditions
- Shaped for the most amount of strength
- Camouflages and protect pond pump
The rounded shape and curved edges allow maximum strength—preventing the skimmer box walls from caving in due to soil pressure. This also allows installation in climates that experience freeze-thaw conditions. The lid and filter protect the Aquascape skimmers internal parts. Every Signature Series pond skimmer is covered by a lifetime warranty and has non-cross-threading and corrosion-resistant hardware.
Water Overflow
Each Aquascape Signature Series pond skimmer filter has an overflow. This automatically works to maintain the correct water level. When there is heavy rain, or other storm creating an overflow situation this feature prevents your pond from flooding. The excess what runs from the rear of the skimmer to a underground drainage basin.

Location Recommendation
To get the best circulation for your pond, we suggest placing your pond skimmer straight across from the waterfall. You can also use the direction of prevailing winds if you don’t have a waterfall to help use the wind to push the floating debris into the skimmer.
Tools Needed for Installing the Aquascape Signature Skimmers
- Utility knife
- Channel locks (Slip-joint pliers)
- Level large enough to place on top of the whole skimmer (3-4′)
- Soil tamper
- Screwdriver
- Shovels
- Spray paint in a bright color
- Wheelbarrow
Maintenance
The debris basket inside the Aquascape skimmers will start to collect twigs, leaves, and a range of other pond debris.
It only takes a couple of minutes to lift the skimmer lid and empty the debris basket. How frequently you need to do this is dependent on the amount of debris. Usually, the spring and fall have the most waste in climates that change seasons.
Please keep track of how often the first year of operation is needed, so you know for the following seasons.
It’s essential to keep up with removing the debris because an overloaded basket could prevent water from entering the Aquascape skimmer at the required flow rate. This could lead to a pump failure.
